Course Information
These 2 days workshops aim to provide effective tools to allow you to develop a more coherent evaluation and treatment plan focused on the man’s pelvis and overall health.
More specifically, we will review the male andrological system with specific attention to the prostate.
We will also discuss the main dysfunctions and illnesses related to the male pelvis and the osteopathic external and internal interventions.
More specifically, we will talk and remind you about the benign hypertrophy of the prostate, cancer prostate, prostatitis, varicocele, testicular torsion and erectile dysfunction.
Day 1 (the container):
- The osseous pelvic frame and it’s 5 main hypo pressure keys
- The abdominal and pelvic brain
Day 2 (the content):
- The prostate
- The seminal vesicles
- The cowper glands
- The pubo-vesico-recto-sacral lamina
- The Denonvilliers (recto-prostatic) fascia
- The spermatic cord
- The ductus deferens
- The ejaculatory ducts
Information about the course instructor
Claude Dufour, D.O obtained his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of Montreal in 1992 and graduated from the Collège d’Études Ostéopathiques of Montreal (CEO) in 2001 and was awarded the prestigious Andrew Taylor Still prize for his thesis on clinical teaching in osteopathy. He has over 32 years of clinical practice and is the founding member of Qualita, the first chartered network of osteopathy clinics in Canada. For more than the last twenty years he has been teaching the practice of osteopathy within colleges in Canada, Switzerland, Germany and France.
