AIMO Accademia Italiana di Medicina Osteopatica teaches the programme to Osteopaths BSc.

It contains six units with 24 days of teaching. The course will be delivered part on-site and part online.


UCO University College of Osteopathy, London, will give the title MSc Osteopathy.


Unit 1: Clinical Reasoning

Investigate and gather clinical information useful for the design and management of the clinical case and propose a plan for the intervention and management of the patient with or without the involvement of other health professionals using all the components of evidence informed practice.

Unit 2: Research

Define a relevant and ethically valid research question and an appropriate experimental methodology.

Unit 3: Integrated Osteopathic Approach

Advanced competence in osteopathic evaluation and treatment in the health field in relation to complex clinical scenarios. This includes autonomous diagnosis and treatment of somatic dysfunction integrated into the various body systems.  Osteopathic approach in relation to medical diagnosis and in the context of multidisciplinary patient management.

Unit 4: Life Style

Develop your therapeutic approach beyond the osteopathic manipulative treatment to other elements which might be included to integrate and complete your patient’s management plan. Consequently, the impact of a healthy lifestyle, including nutrition, ergonomics and movement, on different common clinical conditions will be explored.

Unit 5: Paediatrics

Specialist paediatric osteopaths require relevant specialist knowledge and skills to recognise variations within normal child development; differences in anatomy, physiology and pathology and a technical repertoire to enable effective communication, evaluation and treatment.

Unit 6: Pain Management

Therapeutic approach beyond the osteopathic manipulative treatment to other elements which might be included to integrate and complete your patient’s management plan.
